Eugene P. Tinari was born in Philadelphia in 1963. He attended the University of Richmond, where he earned his bachelor's degree after double majoring in political science and criminal justice. Following graduation, he attended Villanova University School of Law where he earned his law degree in 1988. As a young associate working for a veteran criminal defense attorney, he honed his skills as a trial lawyer and began a very successful career defending the rights of people in Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. During his early career, he also gained extensive experience handling criminal matters in federal court and the State of New Jersey.

Almost immediately after he began to practice law, Mr. Tinari developed a distinctively aggressive courtroom style. He has tried countless high-profile cases and was once noted by the Philadelphia Daily News as having "
followed in his father's footsteps to become one of the busiest criminal defense attorneys in the City of Philadelphia by age 33." For over twenty years, Mr. Tinari has represented individuals in every aspect of criminal defense, including but not limited to, homicide cases, robbery, corruption, racketeering, extortion, kidnapping, aggravated assault, sex offenses, drug trafficking, DUI, vehicular manslaughter, weapon offenses, and tax evasion. He is also a certified to try capital murder cases in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Tinari also has extensive experience representing individuals in federal court. In his more than twenty years practicing law, he has represented individuals charged by the federal government with insurance fraud, carjacking, drug trafficking, racketeering influenced corrupt organizations (“RICO”), and robbery of businesses involving interstate commerce.
